I've unpacked my Legacy controler after it has been put away for almost two years. The controller would not turn on so I plugged it in and allowed it to charge over night. The base lit up as it should and the red lights flashed. The controller still will not turn on after charging. This unit was almost brand new when it was put away and used very little. Is it possible the rechargeable batteries have gone bad? If so is there a specific AA rechargeable battery I should buy? Thanks for your help.

Just get some Alkaline batteries and try those. Any name brand. If it powers, your rechargeable batteries are bad.
Don't forget to turn off the charger if you are going to use the Alkaline batteries.
Did it actually stop charging or was it still flashing? One of ours came with bad batteries tho neither of the Legacy bases we had, the defective handheld that went back nor new replacement, would charge correctly.

The red lights flashing telling you batteries do not have a full charge. That happened to mine, got a set of Energizers and all was well.

Never stopped charging, light were still flashing even after charging for over a day and a half. I'll pick up some name brand rechargeable batteries and give them a try. Thanks
The older Legacy bases frequently had charging issues. I had to send the #990 base and the #993 charger in for the charging circuit update.
I use the Tenergy batteries now, and they charge fine in either of the bases.

John,
Can you post an image/link?
And I lost the 9V looking DCS battery link if you have it again.
Thanks!
You can find these on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Tenergy-...teries/dp/B00410B734
