What is the correct war to run this locomotive - short hood forward as shown in the photo?

It's a nice looking shell. Prototypically, the LV Geep 300 only had striping on one end, but the striping was very different than that on the Williams shell, plus it had a LV diamond logo above the striping. The real one also had a large LV diamond logo on the other end. Williams also uses a different font for the "Lehigh Valley" lettering, and the real engine was red, not the maroon shade of the Williams version shown in the initial photo. But it's still a great looking shell. (Just for comparison, the Lionel traditional LV GP-9 from the Black Diamond set is shown below.) I really enjoy swapping shells on traditional Lionel TMCC/RailSounds Geep chassis.

There are photos of the LV running this engine both short and long hood forward, however, the short hood end with the striping was the normal front, as shown by the "F" on the chassis above the front wheel set in the top photo.
