It's from a very bashed (shortened, etc.) Lindberg 1/72 model of a Japanese I-53 (the one that carried midget submarines on its deck) from WWII.  I bought the kit  years ago at a swap meet and it was too big (near five feet long) to fit anywhere on my shelves so I made the kit into this, for fun.

I've been waiting for our new arrival to post a photo here.

We obtained this Lionel U28CG (passenger model) from a friend here on the Forum. She showed up today and I just shot this photo.

Have never particularly cared for them before but this one has such a pretty face I couldn't resist!

It helps to sport my favorite road too.

The Lionel Legacy models have a great sound, have you heard one?

It is simply the best model loco sound I have heard, period.

I have two I love the sound so much. Unfortunately, neither one will move (both have bad boards somewhere), but they both make spectacular idling sounds, and before the one burned out (the other was that way out of the box) it was spectacular at all RPMS

Yup I hear you. I have this U Boat as well and one of the ears broke off at the National Capital Trackers last year.   I still love it though!

Old Weaver U25B that has had some extensive upgrades including EOB. and a marker light treatment.    The Radiophone is some of the last Bowser Cal Scale detail.  I've been told the Radiophone was installed on  2500 units.
