Just acquired this nice 1988 beer train celebratng three of the famous Nurnberg beers: Tucher, Lederer and Patrizier. The Stainz 2020 loco has the Nurnberg city crest and the gothic Nurnberger Bierzug lettering on the cab. The three tank cars are nicely adorned with each brewery's logo. A fantasy set to be sure, but a nice reminder that the original LGB was produced on Saganar Strasse in Nurnberg for decades by the Richter family.
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Tücher was a friend's favorite beer, I will let him know about this set. Sometimes I wish that I had gone into G.
Dave: LGB also produced a Tucher Pilsner reefer.

My loco has a gold painted smokebox front and only 50 of the 1000 sets were produced this way according to the LGB Kompendium, Volume 1.

FYI: The LGB Kompendium, Volumes 1 and 2, is the premier reference source for LGB production.
LGB was the creation of two brothers, Wolfgang and Eberhard Richter. Their respective sons, Rolf and Johannes, were also active in the design and production of the LGB line. LGB is justly famous for the high quality of its products.
The Austrian narrow gauge Stainz 0-4-0 loco is, and has been, the brand logo for these famous large scale trains. The 2020 Nurnberger Bierzug loco does not possess an operating smoke unit, but otherwise has all the features of an LGB Stainz model.
I really love this set which celebrates the beers of Nurnberg in a whimsical manner, as if beer would actually be transported in tank cars! LOL!
Also the Stainz loco has a white cab with a red roof which are the colors of the Nurnberg coat of arms, which is also stamped on the side of the cab. Nicely done!

This set will likely stimulate one's thirst for a nice cold one! Prost! 😃
Good as many German beers are, my personal all time favorite brew is the inimitable and excellent Pilsner Urquell from the Czech Republic.
