Can anyone recommend a train shop in the Minneapolis/St Paul area ? My new work route will take me there weekly and I'd like a place to spend some $$, lol.

Hub Hobby Center in Richfield and Scale Model Supplies in St. Paul.
Hub also has a store in Little Canada (just north of St. Paul), but the Richfield store (just south of Minneapolis) is huge and a general treat.

I will admit none of this stuff is cheap, but I was absolutely floored at the prices they were asking at model train Classics last year. I'm a postwar guy and it was absolutely unbelievable what they were asking for common items. Just my opinion

Well, when you're the only shop for a hundred miles in any direction...
I like stopping there for the selection of British trains - nary a bargain there either, but there aren't a lot of places where you can see that stuff in person.
