Hi, Are there any led bulbs available to replace the bulbs in the MTH lighted lock ons.

interesting question - does it have any impact on the "magic light" DCS equation if you use LEDS?
Also wondering if there are lighted LED lock ons for traditional tubular track.
LED replacements seem to be the way to go for all bulbs.

all,

LEDs are not a substitute for an 18 volt bulb as regards improving the DCS signal. They should have absolutely no effect on the signal, either improving it or otherwise.
If you're talking about wire-terminal bulbs like on xmas bulb strings, when I looked a few years back there was nothing so I ended up making my own. About 10 cents in parts...but over-the-top in tedious! I wrote up the how-to with plenty of pics but I'm confident no one else has tried it! But it did give a 10-times power reduction.
More recently I found this LED wedge-base bulb which operates over the AC O-gauge voltage range. It appears to have wire-terminals but I do not know if this would fit or work - note the 0.82" height which may be a bit tall. Also somewhat spendy.

Thank you everyone, the homemade bulb setup looks like a nice idea. it also looks like you could use an array of colored bulbs,
A little spendy for a single LED bulb Stan!
