Easy to solve on the collectors. Take the sls-48 prewar collector
other wise known as a standard gauge pickup collector from a # 33 motor (supermotor)
assy ( first separate copper from fiber board) and cut > both in half and the fiber board to fit the area where copper plate will
be adheared, in front of wheels toward the middle > of car. All will be hidden. The copper plate that connects to the collector > wheel slides over the axel and is held in place by stiffness of the copper > plate, bending a small arch over the axel. Drill hole in car and use plastic > wall anchor and sheet metal screw (small) or machine bolt and nut insulated by > the plastic anchor. Use LED lite 2 wire and solder one wire to the interior > metal and solder one wire to the collector(or top of screw inside car since it contacts
the collector). Wha-la!!! This also works on tenders.
I used a single clip on light 24 v one wire from an 1688e motor, gives a little
age to the luster of the lite and clipped it on the crossbar that holds the roof on.
Just remember this is the prototype so I have to fine tune the cuts and paint to match.
Using vintage parts. Works great. Not one flicker. Steady light.
Had nothing better to do than improvise.
Necessity is the mother of invention!!!!
