What is the probability that Lionel will produce a semi-scale GG1 with Lionchief Plus capability ?

Good question Dan . Since you indicated that you are going to attend spring York , You will have the opportunity to ask the Lionel people in person . Lets us know what they tell you . I'd be in for one . Jim

I would also be in for one, assuming prices in line with other LC+ products. I suppose the main factor would be if Lionel already owns tooling for the body and such, perhaps old K-Line molds?

Oh yes, they have the tooling, Lionel "invented" the traditional 0-gauge GG1.

Interesting. I din't know they went to can motors. Should give them a bit more room for the electronics.
