A few months ago, I started getting duplicate engines in the Lionchief app.  One image has the correct image of the engine and the correct data is populated in the information window.  The second image is a generic engine ( and when you click on it no data is populated ).   The problem happens on my iPhone and iPad ( both current OS ).  I have tried troubleshooting on a small layout in a different room with a new transformer ( with similar results ).  I have attached a screenshot of one example.  Note that the app show that 2 engines are available when only one is powered up on the track.  This ghost image happens with all my engines ( Lionchief Plus, LC 2.)+, and Legacy  - about 6 engines ).  I am late to the hobby so I do not have Lionel Legacy Command with Cab2, but have a Base3 / Cab3 on order hoping this issues does not populate to the new control system.

Any ideas what might be happening ?

It's the app. Mine does it too on multiple devices.

Remember- that entire function of displaying the picture is the app reaching back out across the internet to a Lionel server API resource. That picture is not coming from the engine.

So- no you are not doing anything wrong- other than lower your expectations- welcome to app for train control on 3rd party devices you have no control over- what could possibly go wrong.....

Thanks Vernon... you just made my day / week / month.... you get the idea.   I have been testing possible scenarios for 2 months making sure I was not missing something.   Just by saying you are having similar issue then I can move on to the next challenge.   I tried to call Lionel Support  and even went to the Lionel Store in Nashville and talked to their 'superuser' .... crickets.  I am hoping the jump to the Base3 will be somewhat seamless for a small layout like mine.

Thanks much for your response.....sometimes it is good to know it is not 'just you'....
