Recent production LionChief2 doodlebug pickup roller found loose along with its axle in box, new.
See photo. Suggested best way to secure the axle pin so it won't recur? At least one other on same unit is not very snug in its end hole, either.

Lionel service call was as easily done as said, almost, and they are sending a roller assy under warranty. The other loose axle was on the other roller assembly, so I tried ACC. Tiny speck medium gap filling ACC with tinier dab of accelerator provided an instant cure, and did not create any friction for roller on axle. So I’ll wind up with a spare assembly after ACC to the first one.
