I'm looking for an 0-4-0 steam switcher that can operate very slowly.  I have seen this advertised, but can't find out anything about it from Lionel.

Does it operate prototypically slow?

What sort of power does it require?

Is powered by a DC motor?

Thanks in advance for any information you share on this locomotive.

Although I don't have one, I don't believe it'd fit the bill for your need to operate very slowly.  Those 0-4-0's were based on the spur gear driven Postwar Lionel 0-4-0's.  The modern ones have DC can motors with a modern e-unit which allows them to run on AC power.   I believe the gear ratio is probably pretty smilier to the Postwar ones.  I do have a 1615 postwar variation and it's certainly not good for running at slow speeds.

One of the Lionchief Plus A5 0-4-0 locomotives might be closer to the operating characteristics you're looking for.
