I was just given the task of bring back to life a pair of Lionel OO gauge Engines and Tenders for a friend. Nothing is in working order right now. Before I start opening up the engines and tenders I was wondering if any Forum Member has any documents or schematics of the wiring for the Engines and Tenders. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Pictures attached. Thank You.

I'm not aware of any Lionel diagrams - only Lionel Parts Lists. However, they are just AC motors, e-units, and whistle relays just like their larger O gauge counterparts.
The Lionel Parts List are available in publications such as Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Prewar Parts & Instruction Sheets
I just opened up one of the tenders. Very impressed with the workmanship inside. Smaller version of an O Gauge Tender. Should be able to service this with no problem. Had to rewire both tender plugs ,no problem there . Soldered new cloth wire to the bakelite plugs. Ttender has OO parts and he has all the parts I need. Should be a fun project.
I don't have any diagrams but I work on a lot of Lionel OO stuff. Here's how I recently tested an OO e-unit. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Thanks Chris ,that's very helpful. I'm working on the 2 tenders first. The whistle mechanisms look more familiar to me. Have to order new brushes and springs first. Thankfully they are available.
Gee, those sure are attractive models...
