Lionel 151 Semaphore

You could always add a resistor on the common line (center terminal) into the 151 to reduce the voltage to the solenoid and bulbs to about 14v. I'm guessing 180 ohms is the neighborhood you are looking for.

Why are you using track voltage to operate accessories?

Arthur, to answer your question, page 27 of the booklet shows the wiring arrangement for the semaphore and the switch.  Is it possible to use an accessory transformer to power the semaphore instead of the lock-on?

Try removing one of the wires from the lock on and hook the 151 directly to the fixed voltage plug on your 022 switch instead.
