Can anything be done to these old steamers to improve the sound and motors??

I bought the 18024 Texas and Pacific Mohawk, loved the color combo. (Hey, we all buy our trains for different reasons!!)

Had it in the display case for years and years, when I finally ran it I almost wish I didn't!

Since it's worth boo trying to sell it I might as well see if I can upgrade it!

Jeff,

Your engine has the same drive train as Lionel's Reading T-1. Frank Timko is well known for making mods to turn this engine into a solid performer. He is not cheap, but his work is first rate.
