That has been our biggest issue, poor quality as 3/4 of our recent Lionel purchases over the past few years have needed to be returned right out of the box. Don't even think of the BTO program as possible purchase items with the surprises there. Please no more reissues of steam! At least without the same engine numbers if possible.
How about a real transmission for the "CLUB" NYC Mohawk which cost I think $995.00 thanks Neil Young way to line your pockets at your customers expense. BTW it was my last lionel purchase
How about a dummy SD38 to pair up with my Reading & Northern 425? They already have the shells painted for the 6-82804/5.
High hood NS GP38-2
Vision Line or at least Legacy NYC J3a Unstreamlined Hudson. The same model made for the 50th Anniversary Set in 2000 but upgraded electronically and without the gap between the Engine and Tender.
I would like to see some decent and realistic horns on the legacy diesel locomotives. They do such a nice job on the steam engine whistles so I know they could do it for the diesels.

The Standard O Modern 50' Boxcars were made in the USA from 1992 to 2001. That Modern 50' boxcar was not produced in the Burlington Northern scheme. The Standard O Modern 50' Boxcar needs the proper American Steel Foundries frames with roller bearings. This is the closest example of a Burlington Northern 50' boxcar that almost matches the Standard O Modern 50' Boxcar. It was built by Pullman-Standard in 1974. Notice the way the name is placed between the ribs.

Yeah, some heavyweights would have been ideal. I would have thought with the release of the K4's in the last catalog, it would have been a no brainer. I guess that maybe they didn't have enough time invested into getting the trial run done to get them in the catalog this time around. Maybe in the fall?
Also, doesn't the pictures for the AC-9 all look like coal burning engines but their wording in the catalog says, "represent the locomotives from 1939-1952 when they were converted to burn oil." I would have thought that if they were stating that, they would indicate which would be oil, and which would be coal as they have done in the past with some other models as they were both types.

But from my point of view:
Nickel Plate Road No.587 Mikado with the 12-wheel Berkshire Tender, with the correct cowcatcher design and number boards above the classification lights
Re-releases of New York Central J3A unstreamlined Hudsons, Dreyfuss Hudsons, and L3A Mohawks, with the first two of them having option of a PT tender
Wow, you called it correct on the No. 587 Mikado with berkshire tender!
