Looking forward to this catalog, the UP 1943 heritage will grace this 2018 edition; she will be my first "Legacy" engine.
It’s usually right around the last week in January or the first week in February.
It goes live online January 23rd according to their Facebook page.
TRNLUVR is correct. The Notch 6 show is at noon eastern.
What TIME does it go live on 23rd? Sorry if it was posted elsewhere... i missed it.

Notch 6's show is noon so I can only assume by then.

With all the Lionel Trains I buy, I would think I can get a 9am start.
I have a work conflict at noon. I will have to 'go to the bathroom' for an hour to check out the catalog. Hope nobody notices...

"Lionel just posted on Facebook that the catalog will be out on the Wednesday 24th at 4 pm Eastern Time. Not the 23rd."

Actually the 24th at 4pm is the "Ryan and Dave Show". I believe they will let folks digest the catalog for a day and then do their show on the 24th. The catalog still shows launch on the 23rd.
Hours? Mins? Exact time? Bathroom breaks? Is there a prize or someting for the first 100 viewers?? 🤔🤔

Sounds like a winner!
Heck yea! Im callin in SICK! Great idea Lionel!
Cough, cough... i feel the New Catalog Fever...
might view it in class while the teacher is not looking mostly what i care about is the RTR catalog
is the rumor true about it all being one book?
Will this be the catalog to offer Amtrak Viewliner Sleepers, Diners, Baggage cars?
Forever optimistic!
I feel like this is the first time in a long time there have been zero spoilers about what is coming in the catalog. Anyone have anything?

OK - that'll keep me from wasting my time tomorrow.
Well aside from the obvious Vision Niagara and milk cars, I would prefer a spoiler free catalog reveal this time.
I'm hoping for some more Jersey Central.

Worth checking out. Some interesting stuff there.
'nuff said.

Anyone know how many they print and how much it costs to print? We have some 4-5 page high end stuff printed and it is fairly expensive. Just wondered how many they print up and how much it costs them.
The cost of staff for layout and design might already be on the payroll, so just curious.
i 've become obsessed with Transformers so i hope there is a Transformers themed train set in there.

Not sure but they hand them out every York and a few other shows I've been to.
Id like to see them make F units for lioncheif, hopefully in a RDG scheme. Mostly just cause it's a easier system and a lot cheaper than most locomotives.
that, or they do a rerun of the SD40-2 and include a RBMN engine.
Mr Muffins sent out an email today stating the catalog should be on line by 1:00 pm est tomorrow. He hopes to have his website updated before then.
The catalog goes "live" at 12 noon EST according to Lionel's Facebook page. No dealer is supposed to have anything up pertaining to it until then. I would imagine Steve will post it at the same time as well as the other dealers.
And what are you gonna do MartyE? Rat em out? Play " internet cop"? Rule enforcement?

Actually, I was being sarcastic - I'm sure that none of that "sneak peek" statement is true. I'll be there tomorrow all excited and stuff.

Around 7,500 are mailed to LCCA members

Oh. OK. Right. Yep. NOW I know I'm on the OGR Forum....

Excellent satire of some of the hilarious curmudgeonly nonsense we get to read. Thanks for the laugh .
Well, there is one locomotive that will be in this catalog, as it was already announced by Ryan Kunkle several months ago in another thread.
Nick
It should have the Addams Lines legacy locomotive. Goes down the track 6 feet, sings, "The Addams Family, Click, Click!", makes a sound of an explosion, with smoke poring out of it. After that it never runs again!
Uh oh... See you in a week!
By then the smoke should have settled...

Can the schedule be any slower than the possibly fictitious 21" passenger cars?

From what I have been hearing it may not even run that far.

I agree, that comment made my day!
The catalog is like baseball spring training. Everything looks so wondrous and temptingly good. I get hours of enjoyment looking at the catalog. The printed catalogs from Lionel and MTH are first class all the way.
In addition to the 7500 catalog copies mailed to LCCA members, another 2500 copies are mailed to LOTS members. I would guess that at least another 10,000 copies are printed for dealers, distributers and Lionel use.
