What if the Triplex was a more successful engine? Would the Pennsylvania Railroad have used it? This custom run PRR triplex is our answer to what this might have looked like!
The Triplex features a reimagined PRR logo specifically for this engine, similar to the General logo designed by PRR.
The engine number 1870 also has some significance. In 1870, "Pennsylvania Central" Railroad was split into east/west lines, with the east lines renamed Pennsylvania Railroad.
Our custom run also features authentic period pinstriping and accents on the engine and tender. We have the artwork from Lionel and all we can say is, wow, what a beautiful engine!
