I'm usually very good at seeing how to repair things but this 2500 coupler assembly has me stumped. I bought the repair kit, which has the two piece operating rods, connected by a rivet and the spring but can't figure how to mount them in the coupler/drawbar assembly. Can anyone help?

Are you trying to install the connecting rod from the actuating lever to the coupler???

Marty, i'm trying to install the whole shooting match. The underside of the arm going from the truck to the coupler knuckle is, at present, empty.
Do you have the actuating plate on the truck that pulls down???

You put the spring on the rod and the tip of the rod is inserted in the top rear of the coupler and the other end is put in the truck and hooks on to the pull down plate...

Marty, thanks for the help. I had to do it backwards. First I bent the hollow paddle end on the actuator rod assy. over so I could capture it on the hook on the top of the moving shoe on the truck. Then I bent one of the ears that capture the front half of the acuuator rod assembly, installed the actuator rod assembly into its position and rebent the capturing ear back into place. When all's said and done it's fixed. Thanks again.
THat is good you got it fixed. They can be a puzzle at times...
