I just received this Legacy SD70ACe and wanted to verify that it does NOT have the Sequence Control Legacy feature that plays sound effects from departure to destination, like horn, bell, and radio chatter, activated by holding the Aux1 key down on the Legacy Cab2????? Owners manual made no mention of it, but just wanted to be sure.
One other oddity- for some reason, the horn alternates between muffled and then loud with my CAB1 TMCC, but works just fine with my CAB2??

Correct- 6-28xxx series is earlier Legacy before sequence mode even existed. Probably also does not have an IR downward facing LED for sensor tracks.
It's only Railsounds 5.0- so you seem to be expecting recent modern (last 3-5 years features) in an engine made in 2007.
Again, if you want recent Legacy features (sequence mode, multiple horns), you are probably going to have to move up in the product number series.
6-28xxxx is early legacy before they even added infrared for sensor tracks.
6-81xxxx through 6-84xxxxx? -- as an example http://www.lionel.com/products...esel-aa-set-6-81219/ made in 2014 has sequence mode to give a date and numeric product code reference.
I'm unsure of the exact year bluetooth began being added- maybe 2017ish?
2019 started the new number system 19xxxxx, 20xxxxx, 21xxxxx, 22xxxxx, 23xxxxx
Lionel 6-28264 is cab number 8348 not 8360. 8348 was made in 2007. I suspect your engine, 8360, is 6-84106 and was made in 2016. I have an 8360 and it does have sequence control. Maybe someone sent you the wrong box and manual.
OK- Thanks for clearing this up. Great engine. I just KNEW the price was too good to be true. Not a deal breaker, though.
