Today at a train show I bought a used Lionel 6-28469 BNSF Trackmobile. I got home to find it doesn’t seem to run conventional mode as the box says. I have a trusty cab 1 TMCC set up. I programmed it as eng 1, it ran one direction for about 12 inches, then stopped. The directional lights work, electro couplers both fire. It came without a manual. I looked on Lionel’s site and found a video, but the video is all about using a cab 2 with this. There’s a link for the manual, but that leads me to “page not found”. I’m mostly a conventional postwar guy. Isn’t there some way to reset factory defaults? Do step 1 and 2, enter two digits, and maybe it comes back to life? I’ve tried reprogramming to different ID numbers, and the lights flash and couplers respond as if the reprogramming works, but still no motor movement. Does anyone have any helpful ideas?
