I was just looking at the box for the new LCS Sensor Car. I was surprised to see that it says "Plays realistic train sounds when in motion". I thought it was only a sensor, not a sound car. I haven't had a chance to put it on the rails yet.
Any thoughts or experiences here?

You give it the same ID as the engine that is pulling it. Then it plays whatever sounds you have programmed the sensor track to play from your engine. It's a way to add an IR trigger to your engine that was manufactured prior to the IR equipped engines.
That is exactly as I understood it to operate. I guess it is just a poor choice of wording.
