Hey Everybody, I'm on a roll today, I just got off of the Lionel site, checking on the status of my BTO PRR E8, which was scheduled the last time I checked for Aug 17, but I kind of dismissed that date to find out when I just checked; it's not even listed anymore !! Does this mean that I should expect in after X-mas or is it on the slow boat from China ??

Thanks MARTYE, I Guess I need some Windex on my glasses, I went up/down the list 3 times and didn't see it, but irregardless, they're still late. Oh well, October's only 31 days behind September, I can hang.
Chances are good it's on a slow boat from China ( they only do about 17-21 knots you know) it could be November to December delivery. As long as it's on the boat before January, then you are good. For the month of Jan thru February, the Chinese have a month off to migrate back home for some r&r hence why containers are delayed til late Feb to March for the New Year.
Gregg,
I to am waiting for the Pennsy E8s to come in, hope it will be soon. My dealer said early October but there are only 4 days left in early October then we are into late October.

JohnB, I guess our Christmas' are either coming kinda early or exxxtremely late, and God help us if they go and get some R&R. I guess I can look at it as my layout will have developed more by early next year; I'll just prepare for the inclimate weather plan. You guys take care, and thanks.
Greg,
Maybe Dave Olson can give use an updated status. @Dave Olson

Greg, I ordered mine from Charles Ro and I received an email shipping notice from FedEx yesterday. They're scheduled for delivery by COB tomorrow (Saturday Oct. 28) so yours probably will be arriving soon.
Hey Joel, I was browsing thru the site and I was kind of startled as to how this post reappeared. Thanks for the update, I'll listen out for my call, and Happy Railroading

Hey Greg, this thread re-appeared because I did a web search for Lionel 6-84091 and this was one of the search results. I clicked on it because I was looking for any information about the set that I didn't already have. As it turned out, I had received the shipping notice a day earlier.
Hey Joel, Congratulations to both of us on our new arrivals, I hope to enjoy mine as much as you enjoy yours. Happy Model Railroading.
GREG
Could you post a video of them, please?
