I don't know why I got on this train, it all started with getting a good deal on the 7612 NC car,a which I bought because I live in NC.  Then I found SC and GA for a steal, and got hooked on finding the rest.  Well, found the last one I needed on another sell site that was not epay, the 7610 VA car that folks like to list from 120 to 185 bucks.   I have watched several on Ebay that went between 50 and 110, average sell price was $67.50.  None were listed on the last LCCA Interchange Track.  I did make an offer on one listed at 120 and got as low as 100 with counters, but my sanity meter kicked in and it said wait.  So I did.  This morning found one off the beaten path and made an offer for it and it was accepted.  The VA car has become the most expensive of the 13, but it did not cost me 100 bucks by any stretch, so happy camper here.   I already have a matching 1776 N&W GP9 and caboose to pull them all, another deal I got because the loco was broken, but was an easy fix, but have my eye on a Bangor and Aroostook set I am sure will sell for some stupid amount.

The VA box car has always gone for more money than the other cars. I have the entire set; it was a gift when I was a kid. My parents started by giving me the brand new loco, caboose and NJ car for my birthday (because that's where we lived), and the following Christmas, I received the balance of the set. My grandparents gave me the NY car because that's where they were from, aunt and uncle gave me the PA car because that's where they were from etc. My parents always said that was the easiest Christmas when I was little because whenever anyone asked for gift ideas for me, they told them to buy me a Spirit of '76 box car.

I don't run mine very often, but when I do, I use my O-Line Reproductions bicentennial GG1 and PRR bicentennial caboose. It's very quiet with the can motor, and I think it’s more appropriate to have a Pennsy loco pulling this train.
