I have an opportunity to pick up one of these, and I can't find specifications.
One Pullmor, lights, but no horn correct?
Does it have Magnetraction?
Plastic or metal gears?
Are they good runners?
Thanks for any help.

No magnetraction.
Plastic gears.
Yes, it will run fine. Typical MPC diesel locomotive made in the 70's. It should pull 6-8 MPC cars just fine.
One Pullmor, lights, but no horn correct? Pullmor motor, lights, No Horn.
Does it have Magnetraction? Has Traction tires only
Plastic or metal gears? worm wheel , idler gear and pinion gears all plastic , the 2 drive wheels have metal gears .
Are they good runners? I have the 8654 GP B&M ,has exact same motor 8030-100 it runs well but is pretty new . Personally prefer all metal gears like the postwar GPs but the motor mounting is different on these newer GPs or i would have used a old style GP motor truck which has all metal gearing like i did on Lionel EP-5 MILWAUKEE RD 6-8558 as its motor mount is of the older type.
I would not call 6 to 8 cars a load for an MPC Geep.

The Spirit of '76 Seaboard U36B sails around our tree with all 13 cars and the caboose with ease.
As Neil Young once said. The pullmor is a brute.
They are generally smooth runners, and should easily pull at least 10 free rolling MPC-era plastic freight cars. You could add a few ounces of weight to the fuel tank, but I wouldn't go wild. If you really need to pull 20 cars, do what the real RR's did and add a second powered unit.
One issue to watch out for, is that most MPC diesels before the return of Magne-Traction used Zamac wheels. Sometimes these wheels were molded or punched off center, which means the loco will hop or wobble when it runs. Depending on how out-of-round the wheels are, traction will be decreased. A similar issue is that sometimes the wheels have a raised mold parting line, which affects how snugly the traction tires are nestled in their groove. This will also affect traction.
MPC diesels are pretty affordable now. So if your motor truck has badly molded wheels, the easiest solution might be a replacement motor truck from a junker on that well-known auction site. If it doesn't hop or wobble, then you're good.
