Just received my new Lionel Amtrak amfleet cars and very happy. Very nice and well done. Phase 3 striping is now the correct brighter royal blue color. Did a couple of slight modifications though. The gap between cars are a bit wide so I added a rubber diaphragm from an old MTH car that the metal couplers had broken/dissolved over the years to tighten the gap. Also these car do not have operating red led markers so I added that feature that I had done (text continued below photos)
years ago from another car. Also added a micro Amtrak banner logo to this end trailing car. Now Lionel should offer an add on Amtrak cafe car and a viewliner baggage car or maybe a viewliner car set to complete a eastern Amtrak train consist.
