Thanks.  My reading of this is there will be both Mac OS and Android OS access to these functions through the app.  For those not using the app, but having a Windows PC, this utility will provide the same functions.  Does that jibe with others' reading of this?

The apps are more control and basic data entry.  The Base3 SU has a more robust configuration interface as well as an easier editing (ability to use a keyboard and bigger screen) capabilities.  You won't want to run trains or operate a layout with it.  Very similar to the current LSU minus the Base3 specific points such as the PDI health, RF and BT engine pairing.  Maybe more like LSU on steroids.

I hope they release the base3 system utility soon.  I can’t use my home network with it because my router does not have a wps button to sync with the base3.  I have a google mesh router.  I run MTH trains with my  WiFi DCS TIU. And can’t switch back and forth easy  always have to switch WiFi connections.

I didn't use my Orbi router WPS to connect my Base3. I connected to the Base3 using the AP mode, used the app to then enter my wifi info manually, switched back out of AP mode and the Base3 connected to my network. I would try that approach vs waiting on the system utility.

I have ORBI.   No issues with WPS.    Connected automatically and quickly.
