This will be my first non CSX/NYC modern diesel. I placed my order for this one with my LHS last Friday. Any else pre order this one? I know the Big Boy has been the focal point of the 2014 Signature Catalog and rightfully so but IMO this is winner. I can't wait to get this and right at the start of the Fall train season!

I also bought the BNSF AND THE 765 Berkshire....I am not able to purchase the new VL BIG BOY as I have the JLC Legacy Version. One is enough for me as it works super nice and is paid for. I have lots of CSX AC6000's, they are fantastic runners.
Yep, I pre-ordered the green and tan one. The MACs are our favorite and it will fit in with the rest of our orange fleet. I was wishing MTH would remake them but Lionel beat them to the punch. This will be our second Lionel engine, we mostly have MTH and Atlas o. I was also tempted to get a KCS southern but the price is to high. I wish they had them in the non-powered units. Nick
Forgot to add a quick pic of some of our BNSF/BN and our red/silver bonnet Santa Fe. We have the matching power unit for the bonnet still in the box. The wife is not ready to see that one yet or she may not know that I own it yet. Living in the heartland of BNSF and UP this is what we mainly run. All engines are MTH except for the Lionel BN heritage engine in the front. Nick
While the orange and black does not look as good as the SF red and silver it is a close second.

As much as I wanted the Big Boy, my funds couldn't afford it, even with all the great deals out there.
So, I settled for Nickel Plate #765 Berkshire, which I consider my 2nd best choice. Though I would consider adding a Heavy Mikado, M1A, and FM Trainmaster to the fleet...
