I would imagine it would be the regular Signature, Volume 1 catalog.
Ok, I read enough! The TWO catalogs (RTR and AF) ship out of Lionel tomorrow. Dealers will have them next week. There are or shouldn't be any early copies floating around as the only copies were at Toy Fair for viewing for Toy Company customers. There is NO special Vision Catalog only the reg. edition that will be out the end of March.
Lionel has some cool new sets this year, Peanuts set, Polar Express Freight, LIRR, and many others in it. Also a new uncataloged RC Thomas Set that I heard is very cool. As for the rest, you will have to wait a few more days.
Correct - No one has seen this catalog yet..
Good Day Gentlemen,
Thanks for the updates. I just wonder if Lionel can get their hands on the Norfolk Southern Heritage color schemes.............time will tell.
Thanks for play'n

Swafford

That would be REALLY cool. I am really happy to hear that NS is planning on doing accurate historical paint and not fantasy inspired by history.
From TRAINS magazine:
The 18 predecessor railroads selected for heritage paint are:
• Central of Georgia
• Conrail
• Erie
• Erie Lackawanna
• Lehigh Valley (red)
• New Haven (not definite yet)
• New York Central
• Nickel Plate Road
• Norfolk & Western (blue)
• Penn Central
• Pennsylvania (Tuscan Red)
• Pittsburgh & West Virginia
• Reading
• Savannah & Atlanta
• Southern
• Tennessee, Alabama & Georgia
• Virginian
• Wabash
NS plans to recreate the paint schemes as accurately as possible. By contrast, UP used the old railroads’ logos and colors, but created new interpretations on the old liveries.
So ...did we ever figure out what's going on with the big Titanic set yet?
If it's done in 1/48th scale, it will be three times as long as my house!
The question remains though; will the four smoke units be liquid or the
more traditional pills? And is White Star still around to collect royalities
from Lionel...and if not them; who??? Will Lion-tech be doing the sound for
this project....well, you can see where this thing is headed, so I'll just pack
up and head back to my Gomez Adamms threads!
Cunnard bought out White Star years ago. As I understand it, they still pay upkeep on the graves in Nova Scotia.

Is it Polar Express freight or Polar railroad? Also what type of engine is it.
Well... I added TMCC/Cruise and RailSounds from ERRCo to a Williams traditional GG-1, and it has become one of my favorite engines to run.
I'm still a Lionel guy, but there are options now...

Uhh...I kept seeing above "catalog will be out the end of MARCH!!"...March? It's June here, and only a day off in Australia...where is March only a month away? We don't even have an operating lunar module...how am I gonna get to somewhere where it is March...in THIS solar system?
those posts were in FEBRUARY.
