Lionel Coupula Caboose

I bought one of these and downloaded the Lionel App from the Google Play store. On the botom of the app screen are some symbols, all of which but 2 I have been able to decipher and use. 3rd & 4th from the right are vertical arrows and horizontal arrows. Has anyone been able to use them for any purpose?

Also, the manual speaks of changing resolution, but I have found nowhere in the android app where this can be done. How is this done. I haven't loaded the Lionel PC program.

Caboose camera works quite well, except it shows the basement walls as well as the layout, and being a coupula view, track view is limited.
