I'm trying to figure out what the locomotive in this set is made out of. The description says "molded" which leads me to believe that it is plastic. If it were die-cast, it would most certainly have that in the description. Has anyone acquired one of these yet? What are your thoughts? Thanks

Assuming you are referring to the one on the Shop Disney website with the Polar Express style Berkshire, I only had it out of the box briefly to check for defects, etc. (waiting on grandson to come over so we can set it up together), so wasn't specifically checking to see if it was plastic or die-cast, but it was pretty heavy (like other PE Berkshires), so I assume it to be die-cast. If it was plastic, I think I would have noticed it feeling different..., but can't say with 100% certainty. I'll update this post if necessary when we do get it out to operate.
Update:
Curiosity got the best of me (that and that my grandson won't be over this afternoon as I thought), so I pulled the set out to check. It's heavy like die-cast ,and if you tap it, it has a "tink" sound like die-cast. I also checked the cataloged Disney 100 set and the description of the Atlantic engine in that set is the same "Molded in Unique Disney 100 Celebration Finish". It's odd that this is also how the passenger cars are described, but they are definitely plastic and the engine does not "feel" like the passenger cars. So, why neither engine isn't described as Die-cast metal (or similar) is beyond me, but they sure do feel and "sound" like die-cast metal and not plastic.
It’s steel. I tried a refrigerator magnet on mine and it stuck.
