Hello guy's,

I am working in installing ERR cruise m along with John's Cg  and super chuffer 2 in my EM-1.

I have a couple of questions,

First off do I need to install the jumper from pin 1 on j4 for the serial input?

Next question is can I connect the existing front marker lights to pins 3 and 4 on j4 without any modification or changing out the LED'S?

I  have taken Norms lead on the 3d printed mount for the super chuffer that he made in his last video. Thanks Norm!

I have installed the cg and super chuffer before but not the Err cruise. Sorry if this has been answered,  I did a search but did not come up with definite answers.

Thanks for any input.

You most CERTAINLY do need the serial data from the R2LC to pin-1 of J4 on the CC-M!  If you don't have that, you have a rocket on your hands, as soon as you crack the throttle, you'll be flying down the rails at full speed!

Yes, you can use the LED outputs to drive your existing class lights.  You can either split the wiring to the class lights and use both marker outputs or just run them in parallel with a single output.  Obviously, using the single output the class lights won't be a bright, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

So the ERR Cruise M install was a success, I ran the locomotive for about 5 minutes both in forward and reverse at different speeds on the test block. I have all my sounds and everything responded perfect. Thank you for the direction.

John, if I install the CG and Super chuffer 2 is this the diagram I would use? On this locomotive 6-28051 and MB do I just leave the smoke switch as wired from the factory for the heating element?

Thank you again for the help, I am just learning most of this stuff and want to make sure I am getting it right from the start. The M1A was a great first install and I learned a lot from it.

Thank you again,
