Hi everyone,
I just got my new CN Legacy ES44. It ran a very short time and now nothing. I tried resetting it to the original (default) settings, Nothing. Any suggestions?

o crap I just order the same engine and The Menards diesel shed too
That's weird make sure the track is powering up first .. I know that sounds wierd but I tripped a breaker before and didn't know.. I have never seen a lionel doa before ..
You said your tried to factory reset it so does it get power?
Gosh, Paul: You're having kind of a crappy Holiday season, aren't you? I can't help you out on the engine since it's too new for my layout, but I still think that Menard's will fix that engine shed for you. Let me know about the sign and if it can be corrected to the right position.

I have the same engine, no issues. Does anything light up when track power is applied? Check for loose wires or pickups. Sounds like it's not getting any power?
Thanks all for your replies. Paul, check my reply on my Menard's post. SandJam,In the beginning I got it to run with sounds about 20', put it in reverse with no luck. Wobbled the speed control for awhile and it came back to me. Since then, no sound, lights or any other response. As I stated in my Menard's post, I haven't been feeling well lately so my good times are limited. To lay it all out without looking for sympathy, I have had Renal cell cancer since 2009 which took my left kidney, parts of both lungs and all of my right hip. I have recently been diagnosed with lymph node cancer and I go in tomorrow for radiation and chemo. Don't know too much yet on the extent of the nodal cancer i.e. stage of cancer, area affected etc. Hopefully, I will have a better grasp on what is happening to my body by then. I know all of you in Forum land will be behind me on this.
Paul: God Bless you and yours during these difficult times. I disn't realize from previous posts that you had suffered as you must have. I'll say a prayer for you as you undergo further treatment and diagnosis. I know that your interest in trains can help take your mind off of your ailments and perhaps make the time go by easier.
