Believe both these Legacy diesels have been delivered. The Trainmaster is listed in the catalogue with a min curve of O31. I bought the 2011 Wabash trainmaster listed at O31 but sent it back to Lionel when it really needed O36. They refunded my money but am skeptical that 2014 Trainmaster will handle O31 as listed. Any reports? Also the Alco FA-2s are listed at O36 but have 2003 Lionel TMCC FA-2s that run on O31. Any reports on these models? Finally have a NP Lionel SD70ace that runs fine on O31 although looking silly doing it. The tighter the curves a model will handle expands the possible customer base.

The Fairbanks Morse locomotive you are referring to is a "Train Master" - two words and both capitalized. IT is a proper name.
A "Trainmaster" is a middle management railroad company officer.
Rich,
I find it hard to believe that you learned all of that by reading the back of the Wheaties box .
Better be careful around here. There are those who might think you have railroad experience .
Rich, Please accept this for what it is...only jest.
God Bless,

Rich, you need to speak to Lionel, they seem to be confused about the name.

So, you believe everything you read in train cataloges?
Why does it matter? Does this forum have to be that politically correct?
Lionel's TMs(ha)were originally 031 but newer modifications might have changed that.
Just don't try to put them in a lash-up.
Oh my god! Trainmasters in a lash-up, what's that, a double negative?

But we need to spell it like they do otherwise their search engine is unable to find it
Lionel has "TrainMaster" confusing because as Rich points out it should be two words "Train Master."

Even Wikipedia spells it correctly: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_Master

A lot of people spell it like that. I was reading a book the other night on the industry and there is was, Trainmaster. Rich is correct though, the official product name is two words, but I don't think anyone gets confused - I certainly understood what that book was talking about anyway. .
Hot Water thanks for your sarcastic reply. Apparently Lionel has been using the one word Trainmaster since introducing the tinplate model in 1954 according to a quick internet search. On the other hand Atlas and MTH use Train Master. Since I am talking about specific Lionel model just released I use their spelling.
