I'm looking at a Lionel 6-85339 RPO on eBay. The box states : O-42 minimum curve. Does anyone have experience with this car or the similar 60-ft baggage? I would think that being a 60 ft car (15 inch length) that it could negotiate 36 inch or even 31 inch curves. I do notice that it has end steps - do they limit the travel of the trucks on curves?

I had the Weaver version and it did ok on 0-36.

How much switching are you going to do? Backing? S-curves? John in Lansing, ILL
It would be run on a club modular layout, no switching although it will run through O-36 turnouts on the main line. We sometimes will set up a configuration that has a reverse curve.
Since it has a four wheel truck I'd expect it would run flawlessly.
