Wondering if I could put the black rubber Diaphragms in between the passenger cars?

The question would be where would you get diaphragms to install on them, and how. They'd have to be thin ones too, no longer then the plastic molded ones on the cars already.
You have to also consider if the cars with the rubber diaphragms would clear each other on curved track. If you are using curves such as 060 or wider they should clear.
