Lionel, how about offering die-cast models 1:48 Scale Tractors & Trailers for Intermodal? NASCAR?

I am more likely to buy something more 50s/60s looking.  There are some good options out there now, but the hobbyist quickly finds that you quickly run out of variety.  Put me down for a 50s Brockway.

 

I can't wait for these to show up. Curious as to what the final product will look like.

 

While we are at it, I dream of Lionel making them move, under their own power (Superstreets) with sound. 

 

 I have the Lionel tractor trailer on order, too, and can't wait to see it.  Based on the trailers (I have a flat car or two) and the picture I expect the cab (and particularly its wheels) may be on the large side, but only time, and seeing it in person, will tell.

Lee, you have certainly proved that it's possible.  The buses and T/Ts they you have shown in action are incredible, and I can't see them not selling in good numbers. 

I remain convinced that a line of "Streets tractor-trailers, with various types (Peterbilt, White, International, Freightliner, Ford) and types (box, logging, etc.) and roadnames (Railway Express, Red Ball, etc) would sell fantastically well.  I can un derstand any toy-train manufacturer not wanted to get adventuresome right now with new product entries, considering the international production problems, etc., but I hope someday Lionel, or someone else, will do this.

I think this is a great idea - I hope that Lionel looks at it, I would love a highway loop with 18-wheelers trucking - with sound and a bit of smoke.  Would be cool!

I would love to see them new tractor and trailers for sure

I'd like to see some NHRA tractortrailers along with the funny cars and top fuelers.  Maybe make up a drag strip? Pinks anyone?
