I have item 6-11319 Legacy K-4 Tuscan red pulling passanger cars. The engine flashed three light sequence in the cab meaning smoke unit or fan problem. Still under warranty I sent it to Lionel for repair. I received it back yesterday it took only a week for the repair. I ran the K-4 last night and am totally delighted with the repair. Lionel replaced both smoke units and fans (whistle effect) making the smoke effect awesome. The smoke from the whistle is clearly visable from anywhere on my layout, smoke from the stack is heavy. Previously with smoke setting on high I had to really look close to see smoke from the whistle and fair amount of smoke from the stack. I am fully convinced that Lionel replacing both units must be upgraded smoke units from origional?? I wrote on my repair letter that if they could raise the volumn of track talk and whistle please do so (I had it as high as I could set it). Lionel made no comment on the repair description about the sound however it is louder! I can now hear track talk while other engines are running. Awesome repair Lionel!
