The other day I happened to stumble on to a Legacy E7 set from 2015 that was still new in the box, just like I was looking for - so snapped it up. It arrived today so I was excited to get the engines on the track and check them out for the first time. Unfortunately, the sounds aren't working... I've played with the set a bit and everything else seems to work just fine - the powered unit is just dead quiet with no sounds being produced at all.
I wanted to ask if someone might have some background on this before I just dive right in and start digging deeper... Did these have a history of having a problem like this? And if so, what kind of fix(es) was involved? If I were to try taking the shell off and checking for loose connections and such, is there anything I should be aware of or need to watch out for before attempting to open it up? I don't want to unintentionally break or damage anything inside or out.
