Recent after purchasing an ABA set of Lionel Legacy Southern Pacific Sharknose diesels. I have found that once in a while they will stop on a dime, and the cab lights will begin to flash. I’m guessing it’s one of my passenger cars coupler dragging against the middle rail. Any information provided would be greatly appreciated. In the video below you can see my problem 👍🏻👍🏻

Typically flashing cab lights in a series of three indicates a bad smoke unit fan motor. From the video I couldn't tell if that was the issue.
From page 30 of your owners manual.
The number of blinks and the trouble code:
1 Main drive motor stalled.
2 Smoke 1 element problem.
3 Smoke 1 fan problem.
You have 1 flash indicating main drive motor stall. Is it always in that same spot?
I'd start by giving the track a good cleaning. If it still occurs make sure your track joints are good and the engine isn't losing power.
If you suspect the passenger cars, run the locos without them and see if it still happens.

what steps do you need to take to get your SP Sharknose diesel engine running again?? Turn power off to the track?? And then it works again??

Flashing lights are a bad sign typically. You can try the engine reset but if you are having the ongoing blinking then get ready to send them to be repaired.
