Lionel Legacy GP7 6-28353 Marker Lights Problem | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

PRR1644OGR Forum Member SUPPORTING MEMBERDIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

On the short hood side the headlights and marker lights work correctly. On the long hood side the marker lights don't come on at all and the headlights never go off. I installed a new Lighting Distribution Board and both Lighting Boards and I still have the same symptom. I also changed the flat cable between them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John

I think it's much simpler than that. This engine runs long hood forward, so this sounds like a simple programming issue. Peprogram the engine and use AUX1/2 as the engine type, that's for an early Legacy diesel. It sounds like it's programmed as a steamer, so the headlight will always stay on and the backup light will toggle with direction.
