Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but here it goes.
We recently acquired two Lionel Legacy S3's from the 2018 release. Cylinder steam works on both automatically when starting out, but neither will activate manually with either the Aux3 or the blowdown button. Our Legacy 990 Base is version 1.60 and the Cab-2 is version 1.72. The Aux3 button works for our VisionLine Big Boy safety steam, so we know the remote is functioning properly. The instruction manual clearly states it can be activated manually. Any idea why BOTH locomotives will not manually emit cylinder steam? Are we doing something wrong?
