I have a vision/legacy smoke unit motor that runs constantly no matter the command. Even when I turn the switch to no smoke the motor runs. The heating element never turns on. I think it is probably the controlling board. Does anyone else have any ideas or atleast agree?

Lots of smoke unit configurations out there. What's this on? Have you tried a proper reset of the locomotive?
It's on a 2010 ge evolution. I tried to do the reset but it didn't work. Atleast it was still programmed to the cab2.
It helps if you give the actual product number. It saves us work and makes us more likely to answer the question. Top suspect is this board, it controls the smoke unit and receives the serial commands to control the smoke heater and fan.
I apologize for not providing the item number. 6-28306. I will try to do another reset. If that doesn't work then I'll just order a board. Thank you for your help. Bob
I'd check the integrity of the wiring around the board before spending the money, it may be a simple issue.
