I've seen the video's on the Lionel LionChief, and I'm pretty impress with it. Can you run the Lionchief loco on a tmcc layout? Has anyone seen the LionChief video's or has experience with this system?

Yes, you can. Lionel has made it very clear that you can run LionChief locomotives on command layouts. You will still have to use the remote that came with the locomotive since the Cab-1/2 can't talk to the LionChief engine.
I've personally run the LionChief on a Legacy layout with the PH180 brick powering it. Runs just fine.
OK for clarity -- As i understand it one person could be running a LionChief (or LionChief Plus) loco using the remote that came with it on a TMCC/Legacy layout (18 volts on the track) at the same time that another person could be running a TMCC loco using a CAB1/2 on the same layout? Am i correct in this understanding?

Hi Jackson. Yes, that is correct. You can run both LionChief and other command control (TMCC/Legacy/DCS) locomotives on the same layout at the same time.
