I am trying to get a sense of when this boxed set was offered by Lionel, what was included and what it is currently worth. Engine and rolling stock seem to be in good shape but some of the end flaps on some of the boxes are missing. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

What are the contents of the set - engine and car numbers?
Set #1485WS was an O27 set cataloged in 1952 only. It had a 2025 (the later 2-6-4 version which was a 2035 without magne-traction), a 6466WX Lionel Lines tender, a 6462 NYC Gondola, a 6465 Sunoco 2-dome tank car and a 6257 SP-type non-illuminated caboose.
Re value, none of the components are rare. It's not the bottom-of-the line but it's also nowhere near the top, either.

Thanks to RoyBoy and Wft Trains. The set that Wft described is the one I have. The original owner passed away a few months ago and his sister asked me to research the set. It also has a No. 1033 90 watt transformer. Was that part of the set or sold separately?
A&G Railroad,
027 sets usually include a transformer.

1033 was the cataloged xfrmer, for that set.

I have the 1033 in its own box. It doesn't fit in the set box so I'm assuming it wasn't included in the set box, although it was part of the set. Right? There's a 1485WS set for sale on eBay right now but it has a box car. I don't think that was part of the original set either. Right?
As has already been posted, the 1033 transformer was included with the set. Maybe the transformer was not inside the box. It must be noted that Lionel was very good at getting everything to fit into their set boxes, so the stuff may only fit in one way. The catalog price for the set was $39.95.
Sometimes, when I unpack and repack a storage box, the stuff doesn't fit any longer, and sometimes more room magically appears
Good point. Maybe it was intended to be a puzzle. I'll keep trying.
Thanks.
Repacking Post War sets is difficult. But the contents do indeed fit including the transformer. Although the Doyle book with set values lists the set in EX with all boxes at $400. Most buyers will only pay what the contents are worth and consider nothing for the set box and component boxes. $250 would be a top value on today's market. Been trying to sell my sets off and this is what I find to be happening. I'd be happy to take $250 for this set plus shipping.

LOL, don't forget that the 027 track has to fit into the box as well. Eight curves, three straights, and a 6019 uncoupling track.
I'm going to guess that the uncoupling track came in a box.
I've opened plenty of 0 and 027 uncoupling track boxes. Often its hard to get the track out of the box without damaging the box. Very difficult to put it back
Thanks, Guys. And, armed with the pictures from Lionel Tin, I'll give it another try. This is only the second time I've asked a question on the Forum. It's a great resource. Thanks to all who responded.
Nice clean set,. 2025 is a good engine. Keep the armature lubed or you will hear a nice loud squeal.
I’m hoping someone can help me. I have been attempting to figure out where my Childhood train came from. It was the same set as the 1485WS except that it also contained a 6456 LV maroon hopper. I don’t remember ever seeing a set box. I checked through all of my research material and no information except that it had to be produced in 1951 because of lack of Magna Traction. Thanks for reading.
The 1485WS set was in the 1952 catalog. Trains in the 1951 catalog still had magne traction. The 1950 and 1951 sets with the 2035 did have a maroon hopper but that was omitted in the 1485 set.
