A friend and I were talking tonight, and he pointed out to me that the catalog has the ES44AC's listed at 17". I never noticed that before. Is this a typo? I thought they were around 76' in real life, putting them around 19" in O. Did GE shorten them? Forgive me if this has been covered already. I couldn't find any info doing a search. Please post a link if it has been talked about already.

Thanks,

Bill

The ES44 is a perfect size for my layout and the design and style is great also. Engines over this size travel well on my o72 track, however, they smack the inside walls of my tunnels. I did not leave enough clearance for over hang of larger engines like SD 90 or Centipedes in my tunnels. Right now I considering SD 40 and RS11 for my layout. Running trains is relaxing and fun and I hope Lionel continues building these even if the scale off some. David56
