Hello everybody,
I am at the point where I am adding signals to my layout and I have some 151 semaphores that work very well and some that won't go all the way up or down. I have clean them and they are still very sluggish. Can you suggest some way to get these things to operate better as some work fantastic.

You probably need to disassemble the entire mechanism and clean everything with Naphtha. Make sure no parts are bent and all parts move freely.
Pull down the semaphore arm and release it. It should snap right back up.

In addition to what TRAINLARRY suggested, you might have to replace the return spring at the top or adjust the spring by stretching it slightly to give more return action depending on whether it is slow to go down or does not return to the up position well. It took me some adjusting and working with the spring to get the correct action desired. It is a simple accessory, but can give problems at times.
