G'day viewers from sunny Sydney, Australia.

I have 4 X #3472 that need cleaning and lube.

Please keep in mind that there are no authorized Lionel repairers here in OZ.

So this is why i'm reaching out to members today.

I've looked on YouTube and on the internet and cannot find how to remove shell off.

I don't want to force anything off in case I break something.

Can anyone assist me or lead me to a web site that would be greatly appreciated?

Thanking you in advance.

Cheers

Al

Al: The #3472 has different doors (plastic) than the #3462 (stamped aluminum). I don't have a photo to show, but if you look at the underside you'll see that the plastic frame for the plastic doors clips onto the steel base plate and should be easily (though gently) pried up (fingertip pressure will do it) and off the car body. The car body itself is held on to the base plate with screws. If you're still hesitant, I'm sure someone here will provide photos or video. The Milk Car was/is Lionel's most popular and famous operating car.
