Has anybody picked up the Lionel PRR South Wind passenger cars?   SKU 2127160 and the related materials.

They look beautiful and I'd be keen to see pictures and video.

I'm also curious about whether they can handle O-48 curves.  The catalog says O-54 but Lionel doesn't make curves in that size and I'm never sure whether O-54 materials can secretly accommodate O-48 or whether (on Lionel track) they need a full O-60.  Does anybody have these cars and O-48 curves who can confirm what they really need?

The colors in the Lionel catalog look correct at least for when the train first started service in the early 40s.  The solid color train, like so many others, started to have different cars on it as the Amtrak era approached.  There are photos of the Wind with a mix of painted and stainless cars.

ADDED:  Maybe you are thinking of the summer only East Wind.  Its cars were painted yellow from 1940 to 1942.
