I'm a newbie to this site and today I installed a pair of very nice right & left hand switches into my layout which I purchased from a fellow in Maine. He indicated the switches were in good working order. The switches are not working and my transformer red light comes on indicating a short circuit somewhere. I'm puzzled because I ran my layout today (one train) and everything ran fine. After the installation of the two switches, I'm get a short circuit signal and the two switches do not work. Any clues on this type of switch and what I might look for would be greatly appreciated. By the way I am running brand new O gauge track and it's great.
