Lionel's Texas Special Streamlined 21" Passenger Cars

I have a question about Lionel's most recent Texas Special Streamlined 21" Passenger Cars (6-82574, 82579 & 82887) from their 2015 catalog. What engine were these "designed" to go with - their MKT Legacy Scale E8 Diesel AA Set 6-81234 from 2014 or their Neil Young Signature Line "Texas Special" Legacy Postwar-Inspired F3 AA Diesel Set 6-81452 from 2014?
